I would like everyone to meet Belladonna. She is my 9-year-old Polish Lowland Sheepdog. As my staff will be happy to tell you she is the girl in my life that I like the most. Don’t tell my wife and kids. She will be joining us for many of my blog posts, so look for the many faces and poses Bella ends up in.
Today I wanted to mention the advantages of using an electric toothbrush. I personally use and recommend the Oral-B Triumph. The Soniccare is also a very fine electric brush. Even the spin brush has advantages especially for children.
It is recommended that you brush for 2 minutes using a sweeping action at the gumline. Most people will actually brush for closer to 40 seconds, and no using proper form. Most of the electrics have a built-in timer and the action of the head provides the sweeping motion. This provides better cleaning and a noticeable improvement at their routine checkups.
Once you use and electric toothbrush you will not want to switch back to a manual brush. An Oral-B user once said that when they had to use their manual brush their teeth felt fuzzy. Felling fuzzy might be OK for Bella not what you want for your teeth.
